Wherever you see the American flag, the stars at the upper left corner, but if in a uniform, it is at the top right. Why is that?

What is the best material for an outdoor American flag? I have cotton, cotton / polyester, nylon and see – I’m sure there are other material / fabric blends also available. Jaz: write to your Congressman or Senator. He can send you an American flag free that’s flow over the United States Capitol. This is a once a year thing. I do it every year, that’s about how long they last, I bring my old one to the American Legion or the Vets.

I have a small problem, how am I supposed to wear an American flag pin on my vest. Some people tell me they wear on the left side of the vest, but I’m not sure I would and some help with this love.

Think of your breastbone as the flag pole; It should be worn with the star side facing your heart. Most US Flag lapel pins are designed to be worn on the left with the stripes facing out, towards your left arm, and the stars facing inwards. In the unlikely event that your pin happens to be the reverse of that, wear it on the other side.
